- It is forbidden in Islam to cut beard, many schools of Islamic sects says. Author of this book wrote in start about his journey to Al Quds, Palestine. There he met a youth who asked him about Sikhs of India. In fact, that youth did not know any difference between Sikhs and Muslims. The author explained the difference in both. The youth replied about his memory when his father first time saw Sikhs of British Army in Al Quds. In Islam beard is necessary for Muslims but the size may vary in all sects. It is good to grow beards and to trim moustaches. Imam ibn e Abdul Barr said to remove/ shave beard is forbidden in Islam.
